Configuration management and software deployment

Virtualization has greatly increased the number of servers that an administrator takes care of. Service orchestration, configuration automation, and deployment process have led to the development of numerous frameworks for assisting with these tasks. Tools and projects might include but are not limited to Puppet, Chef, Saltstack, Fabric, Ansible, Vagrant, Rex, Jenkins, Docker, and Cfengine. IaaS management may cover Open Stack, Eucalyptus, Ganeti, Cloudstack, OpenNebula, OpenQRM, VMware, and EC2.
